I was able to fix the valve but the kit was not totally correct. I could not use the hard plastic parts.

Perfect fit. Leak is repaired. Trust the OEM parts for this repair. I tried the less expensive knock-offs, and the O-ring didn't fit.
I ordered this product as a back-up in case my toilet valve fails, thus the average review rating. I have no knowledge if works, but expect it to. Product arrived as ordered.

On the Thetford 42058 Valve o-ring and seal fit like it was supposed to, direct replacement, but the seal on the ball does NOT fit either the ball or the base seal. To large for the ball seal and wrong shape for the base seal. Don't know if Thetford changed design parameters recently or not but they packaged the wrong gasket with the right valve.
It was everything I needed. Great service as always.

Easy installation. Shame that it is a yearly repair... Third time in three years! Won't know if this one works until the spring as I put the camper to bed for the winter immediately following the valve replacement. If it doesn't - time to replace the Thetford with a Dometic model...

Sorry to hear everything didn't fit properly. I will be contacting Thetford to see if I can get some answers for you. In the mean time, is there any way you could send me a couple pictures of the incorrect seal? It might help. [email protected]
